    This is the first time that an Australian Kookaburra coin has been offered in high relief. The coin features delightful original artistry and is struck by The Perth Mint from 99.9% pure silver in proof quality. The coin’s high relief reverse and obverse are minted on concave surfaces to ensure the optimum flow of metal is achieved by the strike of the die.
    The coin's reverse portrays a kookaburra perched on a tree branch with gum leaves. The design includes the inscription AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA, The Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark and the 2012 year-date. The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and monetary denomination are depicted on the coin’s obverse. The coin is housed in a presentation case and custom-designed shipper, accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
