This fireplace door is only Designed for BRICK Masonry Opens.. NOT Prefab Metal fireplaces.
The fireplace door is designed to fit on the outside of your opening.
So, if the surface of your fireplace is relatively flat surface like normal face brick, marble, or tile this door will fit fine. If the face of your fireplace is rough cut stone or protruding brick uneven stone this door will not fit correctly.The fireplace doors are not adjustable. The sizing is based on how large the main frame in comparison to how much the fireplace door over laps the fireplace surface. So, the larger the main frame the more openings the fireplace door will fit both width & height. Be sure to measure to the nearest 1/16" using a steel tape measure.
