    Description

    This ship compass was produced for the Bureau of Ships (BuShips) by the Lionel Corporation. It was considered a 7 1/2" ship compass, the top ring reads "US NAVY  BUSHIPS  NO. 1 COMPASS  MARK 1  MOD. 1   13239   1943  THE LIONEL CORPORATION N.Y". It is complete and in very good condition, it was inspected by the Navy Oct. 2, 1945. The box is original and measures 13 1/2" square. The box has some issues-cracks, chips, soft spots-see photos to get an idea of condition, it has all the original brass hardware. Please advise if you would like additional photos.
